I went to the re-launch of the Beau Rivage at Gloucester Park recently – The Buffet food was top notch, Succulent Roasts, sumptuous salads and the seafood selection was vast and fresh. Shout-outs to the NZ Oysters, those bad-boys started the night off well! The service was good and the all inclusive drinks package was definitely worth the extra few bob. We had a great seat to take in all the Harness Racing action, If you’re thinking of booking, I’d ask for a window table if they’re still available 🙂
Lyle. Very bad food!!!Good staff, very very average food, and expensive! As a seafood lover this buffet was probably the worst meal I ever had, I have never complained or reviewed before but this needed to be said. Glouster park park is a great venue but far better off getting eating from a food van.
Time to think more about your customers, far to many tables, couldn’t move around to get to the food area, that is without asking people to move while Thier eating, poor service for drinks to tables, I was however kindly shown where the cheese & crackers were, except no one had bothered to restock that section. Overall very poor, won’t be back.
Very average. There is not a lot of positive things to say about this restaurant as there is just so much that needs improving. This place is stuck in the 70s mode and the buffet is very uninspiring, only a little better than Carver’s Buffet at the Casino, which costs less than $15. The food is fresh and the oysters were very nice however the prawns were small and the sushi was served without any wasabi. The hot food selection was really only just edible and the salads and cold meat selection was limited. The desserts were pretty tasteless as well and again stuck in that 70s mode.. This is an expensive place to eat. At $130 this includes entrance, a racing guide, drinks and food. Unless you are planning on drinking a lot it is not good value. The queues for the hot food are very long. Table service is very poor. You need to constantly get their attention to order another drink and even then take a while to return with the drinks. They waiters try to encourage you to order by the bottle or the jug, so you can serve yourself. This place is far from being upmarket other than their prices.Gloucester Park has gone completely smoke free, there is not even one designated smoke area. You’ve got to leave the Park altogether to have a cigarette. From the restaurant you have to go down one level, walk down a ramp and walk through the large carpark. If they want it to be smoke free then they are going to find it will become people free. We won’t be returning.
Great Food. We went to the Beau Rivage for a work function last night. The food was excellent. So fresh and so much choice. Best oysters in Perth. I could not fault anything. My compliments to the chefs and staff.
Suprisingly good buffet. I wasn’t really sure what to expect at a 3 hour buffet at the trots but overall I was pleasantly surprised. The cold seafood selection included big juicy prawns, fresh oysters and meaty mussels. The mini sushi, salad bar and antipasto platter were also a treat. The hot dishes were alright but I absolutely fell in love with their roast station. Tender beef and the pork was melt in your mouth which went perfectly with their gravy. Didn’t see anything too exciting at the dessert bar but they still had a good selection as well as cheese, tea and coffee to finish off the night. For only $89 for a buffet, unlimited beer, wine, soft drinks, and a race book this place is definitely great for a fun night out.
Seafood Buffet including drinks $89. Considering you get your entry into Gloucester Park, race book, beer, wine soft drinks and seafood buffet it is not bad value for an evening of entertainment.
