I ordered a Texan pork, it was good, the pork is on top of bread. It has so much favour, definitely love the dish. The drink I ordered is apple juice, just so so. My friends also say the mango smoothie is so so. So maybe dishes are fine but drink is not quite good.
Good selection of food and drinks. Theres coffee in a cone available here but I didnt have that. I had the iced chocolate drink with almond milk and almond croissant which was MASSIVE and yum. Both costs about $15. Pricey but I guess its cause of their location. Service was average.
Great coffee. Great breakfast menu. Great zucchini and corn fritters. Clunky reservation system for weekend breakfast. Surely there’s a better reservation system out there? Or maybe just do walk-ins? Full points for the food and coffee though.
Four of us had lunch and drinks. My flat white was luke warm and weak. I ordered a chicken burger as it was marked GFO but was told the chicken was coated in crumb. Glad they told me but I really only left with having breakfast for lunch or the lamb salad. Had the lamb salad which was quite nice. Hubby had a burger which looked nice but said it was dry and the hand cut chips tasted stale. Great atmosphere. Parking pricey. And my pet hate, eating food off a board, salad was in a bowl thank goodness.
They probably changed owner or chef, we went yesterday for lunch, nothing like the pictures on the website, the food is totally disappointing. I ordered a lamb salad, it came out like just a plate with rocket leaves with 3 strips of carrot slice ( so call salad, a lot worse than i would just get a bag of salad from coles) and the lamb is like i am eating lamb jerky ( dry and tough and portion is like maybe 100g of lamb only, and it cost $20. I dont think i will go back.
Dined mid week for breakfast with my husband. Ordered coffees which were good. My husband ordered the corn fritters with chorizo and I ordered the avo smash on gluten free bread. Despite my husband approaching the counter to ensure the bread was gluten free before our meals arrived, we were given the normal bruschetta but believed it was GF so commenced eating. I then noticed a gentlemen order the same meal which arrived on the same toast. My husband approached a red haired waitress who responded terribly, very dismissive, as though we had done something wrong. When she explained to the waitress who took our order (long haired brunette), she approached our table and was very apologetic. She attempted to rectify with the kitchen and all we could hear was the red haired waitress suggesting to scrape the avocado off our plate and provide us with some toasted bread. Another gentleman made another full meal for me and was sincerely apologetic. I am genuinely shocked that was the response we received from the first waitress given the seriousness of the mistake. I am really disappointed with how she handled the matter and won’t be returning.
A great little cafe in a part of town in dire need of good brunches. The staff were friendly and helpful, the menu had a decent selection for a small cafe and the seating was quite inviting in the courtyard. My friend’s meal came first and the waitress wasn’t sure if the burger was hers as she brought out a burger for another table, which was a bit odd. Love that they have house made chips, and my friend’s burger looked generous but without much condiment. I ordered the waffles with chicken and that came after, with lovely presentation. The chicken was juicy and crisp, with a good amount of meat sitting on some smokey beans. The waffles were soft and I helped myself to some condiments and salt/pepper I saw on a ledge inside although it would have been nice to have some on the table or be told about them. Otherwise all was great and I’d happily return.
