The food is generally of decent quality and the service is excellent. The prices are however high, too high to justify for the caliber of the food. The oysters for our entree was excellent, they were decent sized and tasted very fresh. My $42 200g of eye fillet was well flavoured, and accompanied with generous amount of vegetables including roast potatos, and broccolini which eliminated the need for a salad on the side. The mushroom sauce was very smokey and overwhelming so it is best avoided. The quality of the eye fillet was slightly sub-par, with gristles which shouldn’t be found in an eye fillet.I still can’t justify going into the Pan Pacific purely for the restaurant. As a guest on a late evening however Origins would not be a bad choice.
