Very disappointed with the wait time. First they left one of our friends food order and kept quiet until we released that that was a missed and they only let us know after asking for it. Another 30mins extra wait time after an hour of eating. All I can say if you need to have a quick bite. This is definitely not the place for it.
Waited 30 minutes for my food watching my lunch companion eat hers for the majority of that. In the end I had to request take away as I had to return to work! I understand it gets busy but surely a good chef will make sure orders go out together as closely as possible! I was also not the only one in this situation in the restaurant!
Sushi was very nice and fresh. You definitely get what you pay for. Also ordered the tempura udon which was delicious. I would recommend coming here for the sushi but maybe not for the main course.
We ordered the large assorted Sashimi $45, 2 salmon wing special $34 each, assorted tempura $35 (one smelly large prawn with some small fish pieces and vegetables in the most dense tempura batters I have ever had), one miso soup and 2 house sake. I asked if we had ordered too much and the waiter insisted that we should stick to the large sashimi platter for 3 people. She had no idea what the specials were. The tuna on the platter was a brown grey colour. The salmon wing special came out on one plate with only one salmon wing and a stack of salmon bone pieces. I clarified with the waiter that we had ordered two serves before having the chef explain that he had put two serves on the one plate with one salmon wing because he knew my mother doesn’t like to eat a lot. That didn’t stop him from charging us $68 for a plate of salmon bones and one wing which you could buy as fish scraps for $5!!! He generously gave us one and a half serves of salmon wing special for the price of two. I am happy to pay for good food but $170 for 3 people and crappy food is such a waste. Go to Nobu, they can deliver for the prices they charge.
Worst food I’ve tasted for a long time. Try it out yourself and make sure people know before coming. Terrible service, salty over cooked food.
Went here for dinner after flying in from Sydney. Japanese operated, great service. I had miso, scallops and sushi. All great, very true Japanese flavours. Would definitely go back and either have the same or try other things
is overrated, nothing impressed…. nothing. Chicken Karage is even worse than a popcorn chicken from KFC…where is the crispy and flavor from the chicken? Chicken fried way too dry (hard like wood) and makes you wanna deep more sauce which then really cant understand i am drinking sauce or eating chicken?Beef Tataki, is dry and too thick so it lost the tenderness on the beef..continues disappoint all the way though until the end.. every dishes.pretty convenience for FMG people come down to have lunch or dinner meeting, and of course this restaurant is OK when company’s credit card paying for it, but what if comes from your own pocket?Save your money somewhere else, you will pay this level of quality foods for Taka or Zensaki.
