I felt cheated – got charged $10 for Adegashi Tofu even though signage says $9, and was confirmed by the server that it is $10. The batter was rock hard – new owner?
Run of the mill Japanese fare. Example: lunch today. I tried teriyaki salmon. The food was presented in a medium-sized disposable container. It included a couple of pieces of rather tough fish, some shredded cabbage and rice. For $12.50 it was overpriced and underwhelming. Had the fish been tender I would be happy to pay $9.00. There are a few tables inside, staff are efficient and obliging but I see this as purely a transaction rather than an enjoyable or sociable meal. Better options for quality and ambience nearby.
A convenient but nice sushi store. I went in for lunch, looked at the terrific selection of sushi and meals before taking 1 mixed and 1 Teriyaki Chicken. Both were soft and moist with great flavours. The only thing disappointing was the high price ($& for five pieces) and the soy sauce container. (difficult and messy to open) But overall it was a good sushi restaurant of which I would be very inclined to revisit.
