Came here with high expectations however the service and food both disappointed! The meat on the BBQ platter was pretty much burnt to a cinder! My wife had the snapper but again dry and tasteless. Wouldn’t come back if you paid me
We ordered the maza share plate, which consisted of a series of dishes (only the first dishes are pictured, we forgot to take pics of the others). Some of the dishes were superb (the hummus, garlic potatoes, eggplant dip, chicken rice) while some were not to my liking, including the meats, which I found were quite overlooked. The service here is exceptional and it’s a lovely little restaurant with a nice family feel. We would come back again.
Super lovely. The owners are super lovely and the food was amazing. Went with a mixed group of vegans and non-vegans and everyone left very satisfied! Will come back when we can!
Absolutely superb food! Had the Maza for 2 (Meat) and my partner had a Lebanese coffee after the meal. The Maza was fantastic tasty treats and extremely tender meat. The experience itself was also cool. Sat in the traditional low seating and the Maza is served in many small dishes over three courses. By the time the third course came both of us were too full to eat any more. Took it home in a takeaway container. Just as good the next day . The couple who run the place were the only staff (quiet night) and the service was more friendly than professional, like eating in their home. All for $20 each!
The owners here are a cute couple who are very welcoming. Have eaten here twice now and decided to return with a voucher. Both ordered the mixed bbq platter which was good but not amazing. The chicken and lamb were both cut quite small which made it dry unfortunately. The falafel also wasn’t as good as I have tasted in other restaurants. Other than that was a nice meal and friendly service.
I’ve eaten at both the Prophet and Eli’s tent, the only difference between the two restaurants that I can find is the size and the location, the food is authentic and fresh in both places. We can always get a table at Eli’s and the owners provide a very warm welcome. The Meza for two is a great selection of dishes which are full of flavour. The decor might be a little dated and daggy but who cares, the food is what keeps us coming back time after time.
Every time I visit, they have provided very tasty and quality Lebanese food. They have very good vegetarian options and all of them taste super good. The owners are very nice and offer pleasing customer service. The food is worth the penny you spend and the quantities are quite filling.Saturday nights they have belly dancing too!
