Amazing as always, friendly service, best squid tentacles in Perth! The crispy fried chicken is delicious and never fails to satisfy. There’s no long waiting times either.

I’ve always put more stock in word of mouth than online reviews. Despite this, I had to make an account after my absolutely abysmal experience eating at happy meals. For some reason, the cooks treated the entire experience like a three course meal, staggering each persons dish. This just led to half the table watching awkwardly while one lucky individual ate what they ordered. I know that the staggering was intentional, because why else would the waiters choose to let our sizzling tofu cool off till it was luke warm? When the food finally did arrive, we were left to stare at it in hunger, letting it cool while the waiters searched for steamed rice to serve. When they finally wrangled it up, people could eat. At least, everyone else could, as I was still waiting for my soup.By the time my pork belly soup arrived, I was pretty much the only one left. Morale was low, and so each and every bite was sullied with that sour tang of defeat. This meal was a trainwreck, and I feel like my relationship with those who joined me for this meal will suffer thanks to the efforts of Happy Meals staff. You want a happy meal? Stick to Maccas mate

I had a chili pepper chicken with steamed rice, chicken sweet corn soup and a watermelon drink with jelly. The soup was great, the chili pepper chicken was okay (my homemade chili pepper chicken is better lol), but the watermelon drink was unfortunately below my expectation.. it was tasteless, I didnt taste any watermelon in that drink. Service was good and very fast

Came here just before their kitchen closed, just in time for their last call.We were promptly served their house tea upon request, for no additional charge, I think. We ordered the combination noodles, fried wontons, and honey chicken.Wontons were okay but a bit sweet in taste. The noodles, we could barely see under all the meat & vegetable toppings, but a tad bit too saucy. The real star of the meal was the honey chicken, which has been the best that I’ve had! They definitely have generous servings and for the $45 we paid for all three dishes (for two people) and the can of Coke that we ordered, we got the bang for our buck as we still had enough to take home!

Tried the squid, mee goreng and duck with rice. To be honest none of them were really exceptional, fried squid didn’t have enough crisp, mee goreng was more sweet than salty and could’ve been more smoky. Duck was cold as well as rice which was unfortunate because it tasted actually okay. 3 out of 5.

We came here for dinner on Wednesday with 2 friends and for $85 we were pretty happy with the experience. We ordered szechuan beef, honey chicken, sweet and sour pork, fried rice and a combination noodle. All was delicious except the combination noodle, it was very fishy and we didn’t eat it. The service was great and very prompt. Can tell it is a well regarded place as the restaurant was quite full!

Happy indeed, this restaurant provides flavorsome food at prices that represent great value in the overpriced world which is the Perth dining scene. It may not strive to be pure in a provincial cuisine, or cater to the now, but kitchen puts out dishes which are instantly recognisable and appreciated to the Aus-Chinese palate. Star of the night was the Chicken soused in vinegar, strange but true. It is a bit heavy on the fried food, no steamer to be seen here, but still take your mob down for some Chinese, and you wont regret the experience.
