First time diners here – looking forward to a curry. The fish cakes (entree) and main courses (red chicken curry and massaman beef curry) were good- but the desert sticky rice and coconut ice cream was awful – sent back. When we arrived we were offered the usual water options and we ordered sparkling – then told it was not available (OK – no big deal). But the next thing was NO green curry (even though it is on the menu). At 6.30pm on a Saturday night – how does a Thai restaurant not have any green curry.!?! Something is just not right with this place. We wont be returning.

Oh Mee Kin… I dont know whats happened but that takeaway was nothing like how we remember :(Firstly, when I called to order takeaway there werent any chicken satay sticks available. Not the end of the world, of course, but disappointing because I know my two kids will eat them. When we got the order, the $14 Thai Beef Salad was half full in the container. SO tasty but not enough of it to warrant the price paid. Instead of the chicken satay I decided to get spring rolls. And unfortunately they were greasy. I had to cover mine in sweet chilli sauce to make it taste better. The beef massaman had only four pieces of meat in it. Granted, they were large, but just not enough still. On top of that, the sauce was quite runny for a massaman. So I tried the Pad Thai (with chicken) to see if it was going to be any good…but it was lacking in flavour for the most part, until I bit into a shrimp and almost choked (Im not a fan of seafood and am not used to Pad Thai having shrimp in it, unless its ordered that way).The redeeming parts of the order were the fish cakes and rice, and the taste of the Thai Beef Salad. Weve loved getting Mee-Kin (especially because its conveniently located for us) but this was a disappointing experience and I hope they pick up the standards again.
