We ate there for the first time last night. The food was delicious, and not oily like some Asian food can be. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The service was very friendly. We will definitely be going back to Heng’s again soon!
A 50 seat restaurant with no diners and no one waiting for their order in Perth’s takeaway heartland should have rung alarm bells. We had been recommended this local Restaurant by friends so went through the with our order.Our order was sitting out on the desk for us ready to go when we arrived. With no one in sight. On a desk.The house duck dish was seasoned with MSG and had been clearly reheated several times judging by the look of it. The Szechuan lamb was so heavily loaded with MSG that it almost tasted like it was marinated in a thick coating of Vegemite.The fired rice looked and tasted like it had been prepackaged the previous night and microwaved on high prior to bundling up our meal.Without a doubt, the worst meal I have ever eaten.
Very clean with great food,the owners/operators are friendly,and the menus extensive . It deserve to be tried as some of the local chinese that have been established for some time have gone off in the food they serve.possibly due to change in cooking staff.
To all the negative reviews about this place, GOOD, STAY HOME! My family and friends loveee this place and the food it is fantastic! We have been there since day dot and come back weekly, even twice a week. Usually beef dishes and lamb are gross and chewy, but not here. Heng is an amazing cook. I want these guys to do well as they are a hidden gem and people need to know it! so happy they are my local love love love
Hengs Asian Restaurant Edgewater. Delicious food! Particularly enjoyed the vegetarian Singapore Kuay Teow. Extremely reasonable prices and friendly service. Thoroughly recommend it.
Fresh and Tasty. The best thing about this restaurant is the excellent quality and the freshness of the ingredients. The Mongolian Beef was fabulous, the meat tender, vegetables fresh and perfectly seasoned. The Honey Chicken was a tad too sweet but still good. The Phad Thai could have done with a bit more flavour and meat. Overall a good experience.
Amazing chinese food!. A lovely family orientated restaurant to dine at with bubbly staff. Are able to cater for special dietary requirements and the food is never a disappointment. One of the very few chinese take away places I will eat at.
