Came here on Wednesday with a large group. Accomodating to a large group. We were able to split bill. Large venue. Lovely atmosphere. Beautiful food that all came out at the same time. Large menu with plenty of variety. No complaints.
I went here for a casual drink and a small bite to eat on a weekday mid afternoon. The service was prompt to see take orders and the waiter was very friendly. We ordered some things to share including the sausage and hummus and bread. The hummus and warm bread was amazing, but the sausage was fatty, gristly and not to my liking. I liked that they had the option to sit at a table or in a more relaxed space on a couch.
Love The Boulevard…. consistently good! A little pricey but I don’t mind paying if it’s good. We had the pork sausage pizza with green chilli, fries, panko crumbed confit lamb with mint sauce, fried squid and a chocolate torte with hazelnut ice cream for dessert. We opted to just get 3 pieces of the lamb for $7 but we wish we got more. They were lamby nuggets of joy. Squid was tender and peppery, great chips, pizza had an amazing crust and the chocolate torte was moist and not overly rich. No complaints at all.
Visited last Saturday night for dinner. The staff were pleasant, helpful and we were relieved to get a table without having booked. My wife’s salmon main was excellent with crispy skin.My steak sandwich was small, almost kid’s meal sized. The steak was good but the rest of the filling was just grilled onions and the bun was about the size of a standard hot dog bun.The dessert left us truly puzzled. What was described on the menu as baked chocolate torte, was actually an ice hockey puck shaped, disc of dense, sweet chocolate ganache which was too rich with the scoop of sweet ice cream placed on top.
The Boulevard used to be my local and we would go there weekly for a meal. Unfortunately the meals which used to be consistently good, have become quite hit and miss over the last 12 months. Have had one too many undercooked or poorly executed meals. Staff are still delightful!
Great venue, food and ambiance. BUT please do not serve your espresso martinis in wine glasses again. Go buy some martini glasses and/or advise your bar staff not to do this.
7 ladies ate lunch here yesterday, several of us first time visitors. A fabulous experience! The food and service was of a very high standard. The manager was very accomodating and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Tasty, well presented, generous portions of food and nice sized coffee cups! We all had the 2 course special with a glass of wine…. suoerb value. Definitely recommend this venue!
