Despite being more popular for sushi train , The Sushi 2016 managed to serve up ramen at quite an acceptable standard.My tantanmen broth was incredibly rich, a tad spicy but too salty for my liking . The distinctive sesame paste required was surprisingly prominent and combining it with seasoned pork mince was a joy to devour, salt-tolerance aside.Ironically Ian’s shio ramen tasted rather bland and there was no real body to the soup . Having said that, the blow-torched pork slices were super flavoursome.Although we loved the addition of fried garlic, both of our noodles were over-cooked but that’s an easy fix for next time. Not a fan of that 0.56% for credit card transactions and we’ve also noticed that the chairs at the counter were a bit too high. It made it difficult to eat noodles without having to lean over awkwardly, and we’re not even that tall. instagram.com
