Service is friendly and the fish is firm and fresh. Everything is cooked to order. However what’s keeping this place from being a top fish and chip shop? It’s the batter. This is especially evident in the chips which are way too soft for my liking and the fish lacks the defining crunch of a good battered fillet.The seasoning was also lacking. I’m not looking for hypertension inducing levels of salt, however this was a little light on sodium.
Under new management this outlet begain with an excellent rating from me however the service by the the young male server is rude,cocky and no customer service skills what so ever.The food has also gone down hill.Our last order had a distinctly rotten prawn with an odor to match. Thank goodness it was detected and the meal binned.Portion sizing is good but like most outlets their useage of salt is not good.It really is a shame as this outlet was a family favourite but we will not be returning to this place again.If Im not mistaken,I think MSG maybe used to inhance the food.If this is correct then beware.MSG is very bad for ones health.

Awesome shop and come here at least once or twice a week. Cooked super fast and very tasty. Staff are very cheerful. Chips and potato cakes are especially good.
