Not overly impressed with this place. Don’t get me wrong gorgeous location but it sort of stops there. No one greets you as you arrive so your sort of stumped looking where on earth to sit and find a menu. There are two seperate lines for food and drink. Both out the door long!! We ended up leaving as the menu is so basic and we couldn’t find anything worth ordering for the wait time that ensued.
Pleasant food for what it is. As a parent being able to eat reasonable food yet have a kid friendly environment is important to me when travelling with the family.As a pub type setting it serves good quality pub grub. It is by no means fine dining but it did a good job of serving us good food in a reasonable time, despite how busy they were. We got the wings which were quite tasty and the beef short rib which was OK. The kids pasta was inhaled by the kids so let’s assume it was good.All in all, a good spot for a casual meal but if I was kid free, I would certainly go elsewhere first. I have Colonial Brewing Co the same score but I prefer Cheeky Monkey.
Waited over an hour and a half for cheese pizza, ordered ribs and was told a half an hour later that they did not have ribs. The waitress recommended the steak instead, which was $7 cheaper then the ribs that I pre-paid for. No offer of refund for the difference, I had to go back to the counter and request a refund of difference. There were only 2 bar tenders on service and it’s a Brewery! If you want to know how NOT to run a pub, come here.
My new fav venue in the South West. No pretentious food or staff. Great food (see menu) that pairs so well with a great range of beers, cider and wine. All staff were very good, friendly and professional. Add to all this a lovely garden venue. Very enjoyable and relaxing day. Thanks guys 🙂
