This place has great atmosphere and the staff are really friendly. We had the seafood platter, and wow, what great value for money. Lovely pan fried fish, five spice calamari, grilled juicy prawns, prawn and crab croquettes (an absolute winner!), debearded chilli mussels and plenty of chips!

The garlic bread starter was very rubbery, like it had been warmed up in the microwave. The carbonara arrived cold. Told the waitress… no apology or anything. The pork belly was ok in parts. The salmon was average although smothered in hollandaise sauce. Waited for them to clear our plates and see the dessert menu but no one did so went to the counter to pay. Girl rude behind the counter. Didn’t ask if we’d enjoyed our meals, she just took payment . Thought customer service could have been so much better…is it too much to ask these days? Wouldn’t recommend and won’t go back

Went here tonight, very disappointed with the food. The atmosphere was great, quiz night happening lots of laughs! Food on the other hand…. yuk!!!! Moreton bay bugs were more like morteon bay yuk! Not even edible… salt and pepper squid… the worst, deep fried covered in salt and pepper… so we ate chips for dinner… on the other hand the waitress was amazing and could not have been more helpful.

First time dining here and will be the last. Group booking of 14-meals were slow to arrive and people were finished before others received them. Deceiving kids menu with wrong info-meals changed, menu stated pop top option but ended up with glass of juice which wasn’t suitable for 3yo. 50+minutes wait for kids burger which by the time it did arrive she was full from eating chips off others meals. Then upon complaining got lip from waitress apparently we misinterpreted the menu?? WTH?Another diner steak order was forgotten and remade but was inedible as all gristle. Hate to dine here on a busy night if this is what happens when quiet. Sarah Nottingham

Wednesday Night 1st June 2016 🙁 Atmosphere at the Brighton Hotel Mandurah is very drab and lifeless 6pm. The music in the dining area sounded like it was coming out out the local radio station. My husband ordered onions rings which was tasteless and tasted like the outer skin of the onion in a thick batter, unimpressive with a small bowl of tomato sauce, out of the bottle is how it tasted ( at least create some signature sauces to offer your customers, do not look at the photos above as they are in no way a true representation of what you will get on your plate. I ordered a half dozen of natural oysters and asked if they had any sauces to go with, tartar or lemon how boring, put a little pride and creativity into your menu for goodness sake it would not cost much more to offer a EG:thumb-sized piecepeeled ginger6tablespoonsrice wine vinegar1red chillia littlefresh coriander1teaspoonsugaroystersTASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get a grip and up your game CHEF.My husband ordered chicken parmigiana with 3 cheeses, chips and salad wonderful meal he enjoyed it. NOW!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered a medium well 300g graziers rump with mash potato, veggies and mushroom gravy what a disgrace for a chef to even let that meal leave the kitchen. The Rump: dry burnt and chewy even with a steak knife I had to hack into the one small piece on the end I could cut into, the mash potato tasted like a dry bed of tasteless overcooked cracked leftovers from lunch and the veggies also leftover brown ends of the cauliflower brown ends broccoli and splitting dry carrots that you had to hack into with your knife uneditable I sent it all back and did not order or reorder anything else. The service staff could use some customer service updates on the menu and it probably is a drab place to work no smiles except when the 3 staff were huddled AND TALKING TO EACH OTHER behind the dining service area, picking at the food with her fingers and then serving the plates to the customers not a great look nor hygienic………………. No thank you and we will not be going back ever again. The only reason there are not photos is I left my phone home for a quiet night out which I had taken it to show you how bad the food was on my plate.( I so wish we had gone back to the oceanic or oyster bar at Dolphin Quays )

Didn’t even try the food, went to the bar wasn’t busy a few people in.Very rude staff and took a long time to get served just to buy a drink.Terrible staff no idea wat service is. avoid.

  • The Urban Bento

Seafood platter and rump steak for a quick Saturday night dinner. Well presented but average tasting pub fare. Medium steak was definitely overcooked and more like well done. Beer menu wasn’t great but great views.
