I’ve never been big on burgers but the day that Grill’d released their new Vegan Cheese burger ‘vegan beef’ patty I had to rush down and try it and I was not disappointed, however, the second time I tried this I ordered it as a takeaway and it didn’t taste as good as the first one I had as there weren’t enough fillings in it, even though I ordered extra pickle it was rather bland.I Recently went back here again with friends and ordered the new and improved vegan cheeseburger and it was a solid 10/10 from me! My partner ordered the Hemp Therapea burger, (which is Vegetarian but can be made with out the Tzatziki and with a standard bun as the Gluten Free buns contain egg) and we shared both half each. It was very tasty but not as good as the Cheeseburger, which also has Vegan mayonnaise and vegan melty cheese. They have lots of options here to personalise your burger by adding extras such as an extra vegan patty, vegan cheese, avocado, pickles and vegan mayo which are all reasonably priced add-ons.The Vegan burger is $14.50 and definitely well worth the money. The staff in the Mandurah Branch were all very friendly and efficient and brought out our burgers and side orders really quickly. There is a bit of a stupid licensing rule though (no-ones fault) that you can’t walk away from the counter with your beer, they have to bring it to you, which on a hot summers day could be a little bit annoying, however this is the sort of place you eat and leave and not stay for drinks. The venue looks inviting and you can choose to sit inside or outside which has plenty of shelter and cover or there is limited eating space inside. I am dreaming of my next burger here. herbivorechef.com
