Very good. Not a bad restaurant if Thai silk has no tables left, we ordered lots of stuff the sate chicken was good pity they couldn’t spell satay right, lemon chicken and Mongolian lamb were divine as well. Was dissapointed that deep fried ice cream was not on the menu.

Watered down Malaysian/Chinese for the western palate
Excellent place. Yesterday I took my mum and dad to Mandurah for lunch. My dad, who has cancer and struggles to walk, wanted Chinese food. Penang House was closing when we arrived, but the host showed extraordinary kindness in allowing us to eat in the restaurant, and in helping my dad get in. We were made to feel very welcomed and looked after. I was extremely impressed and touched. This is rare behaviour that deserves to be recognized. The food was great as well.This place deserves to be supported.
Consistently good, tasty Malaysian food. We have been here more than 20 times over many years. We have never had a bad meal or service. The table service is quick but still polite and attentive – always ready to get you something if you ask. The curry puffs, satay chicken (entrees), ginger beef, Hor fun, salt & pepper squid are all stand outs. It is also always busy with takeaways so it must be doing something right
Not recommended. The place was quite busy but the welcome on our arrival was curt and we were not made to feel very welcome. The food arrived quickly as did the water and wine glasses. Unfortunately the food was very very average. The level of MSG was very high. Both the satay lamb and the chill prawns were tasteless without any real flavour. Very bland food. We won’t be going back again.
