Impressed with the upgrade. I had dinner on Sunday (7th) The staff member who took care of us was great… we had a little blonde English/NZ (not sure) waitress looking after us who was brilliant but she did disappear for a while…I think she was on her own, she looked a bit overwhelmed. Didn’t see any other staff members at all and the tables around us were full of plates. The food took forever to arrive but was really good (I had the chicken parmigiana, my partner had the ribs) All things aside, they have good food and a great waitress who to be honest made us all have a good laugh and we will return based on that alone – Ollie.
Dinner. Just been for dinner,had fish and chips.Fish slimy half cooked,worst salad bar I have ever seen.Never again
Lovi ng the new menu. Had dinner there last night and ordered the Ribs and Parmy. The ribs were so tender and full of flavour and the parmy was so much better than anywhere else we have eaten out in the south perth region. It wasnt deep fried like other restaurants or pubs. Its the little things like hand making the parmies and the nap sauce on premises that makes all the difference. Open mic nights on Thursday evening definitely brings some engery to the tavern. What more can you ask for. Enjoy a great feed for reasonable prices, jugs of beer on a thurs night for 12 bucks, live music and the chance to watch the game or put a bet on the horses at the tab.
BLAH. This is our local tavern and that’s embarrassing to say. My husband and I wandered in about a year ago saw cheap specials on meals and very reasonably priced drinks and thought this is ok , not great cuisine but ok pub food for $15 specials , but that was a year ago and now not even the cheap drinks will make us return the food is just bad, bad ,bad. If you don’t like chips the only thing they can cook don’t go, I think perhaps there has been a change of management ?
Dissapointed. Have been here several times. Tonight I ordered the vege stack, as I have in the past. The pumkin and mushrooms that were supposed to be in the dish weren’t. There were two undercooked onions, and large undercooked zucchini pieces that I left on the plate. My friend also had the same dish. I let the new staff member know. She was told the menu was going to be changed and would I like a free coffee, and I said no thanks. Why was this still on the menu, when the main ingredients were missing and it was so undercooked. Sadly won’t go back. I felt embarrased that I had recommended it to my friends.
Pleasantly Surprised. Driving past, saw advertising trailer and popped in. Really nice on the inside. No tension in the bar and decent pub food. Now the celebrations next door…. fantastic range of wines (amazing choices). I regularly drive past and now I can get a decent wine on my way home.It definitely is a disguised gem for the area8/10
Downhill rapidly!. Perfect meal and service at The Hamilton in November but since Christmas the place has spiraled down hill rapidly. The service in November was impeccable but no more smiling staff and attentive service like then. Now its just greasy slapped together food and staff who don’t care. Will never eat there. Not sure if there was a change in management beginning of December but the new lot aren’t working if so. Don’t waste your money on overpriced pub food!
