  Went for a dinner with friends and brought my 3 yro. Nice dinning experience. Family friendly restaurant. Great desserts. Love the homemade caramel.

  I wasn’t planning on doing a review, so didn’t take pics – I did one a few years ago, but ownership has changed, so here we go.I’m puzzled with the other 2 reviews so far, which have both given 1.0. We went for Sunday lunch and it was dead quiet, such a shame – I hope it was the weather that was keeping people away. Anyway, we arrived for our table of 6 birthday lunch. We started with pizza bread with the salt/rosemary (pizza bianca) and a pizza bread with garlic, tomato sauce. Both were fresh and hot – 2 serves was enough for our hungry table while we perused the menu.I had the veal scallopine with mushroom sauce, mash and vegetables – lovely. My daughter had the basic gnocchi and her bf had the gorgonzola gnocchi. My other daughter had lamb shanks (massive) but thought they were a a bit bland – she didn’t mention this until we were leaving and the manager said she’d pass along the feedback to the chef. Her bf had capricciosa pizza, which he said was great. My mother had the saltimbocca which she enjoyed – she asked for chips instead of mash and this was done without fuss. I noticed later on the bill that we were charged $1 for this, but this is miles better than the other place I recently reviewed in Tuart Hill, so I was happy enough with this.We took a cake – I’d spoken to the manager previously to see if this was ok. There was no penalty fee for bringing our own, but could I bring paper plates? I thought this was reasonable, seeing as they weren’t charging me for the privilege as many others do these days (and some don’t let you bring a cake at all). We took 2 bottles of wine and were charged $8 a bottle corkage – still cheaper than paying restaurant prices. I’m not sure if this is a PR thing for now or what, but we were all offered a free glass of red or white wine with our meal. As far as the comment on another post regarding Indian staff in an Italian restaurant – I can remember years ago working in an Indian restaurant and the kick-ass chef was Chinese. So what. Our bill came to $201 including a Pilsener and a bottle of sparkling water.Please give them a go, they’re trying hard.

  Flavourless and boring gnocchi. The pizza was so boring. So pricy and what a waste of a Sunday dinner. I wont go back again. They better change something quick in this place to get it tasting good again like it used to

  NEVER EVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!Not to be racist, but this place shouldnt even be called a Italian restaurant. Full of Indian waiters, that doesnt know how restaurants work.We ordered a carbonara and a marinara, the restaurant didnt look that busy but took over 45 minutes and other people got their food way before us, even though they came after us. The food ended up not coming to our table (thank god), because the table next to us had a garlic bread with A MOULD as a little garnish!!Never again. Not even a chance.
