Staff are very pleasant to deal with…But the food was not to our taste… we received the wrong meal but was already home when we realised… We are from the UK so maybe we are used to a different flavour… the biggest issue was the chicken…ive never quite tasted chicken that rubbery and flakey at the same time… If I was asked what the meat was I wouldn’t beable to tell you? Overall for us it wasn’t a win
My friends like this place, I hadn’t been before. I had a craving for prawn cocktail. It was ok, but the sauce was a bit sweet for me. Friends enjoyed their prawn toast. Mains, we shared black pepper chicken, garlic and chilli pork and Szechuan beef. Beef blew my head off on first bite – lots of zing! The chicken was also very peppery (obviously). The pork was not at all spicy (thank god) but had good flavour. All 3 mains had great flavour but I didn’t care for the texture of any of the meat – too smooth and floppy for me. Maybe it’s just me, my friends didn’t seem to mind. BYO wine is allowed, they are licensed. Check your bill – we’d accidentally been charged another table’s drinks. Our bill for 2 entrees, 3 mains, 1 steamed rice, 3 alcoholic drinks was $85.
Where is an authentic chinese restaurant in the Joondalup area? Mr Ho in my opinion is not one of them.I feel the food has been dulled down due to the clientel in the area, but it was busy and i didn’t see an Asian in sight. I should of done something when i noticed this! Here is what we ordered and my break down:Salt n pepper pork chop – batter was thick, meat not fresh and lack a good hit of salt n pepper. There wasn’t much of a garlic n onion mix either.Japanese tofu with chicken n salted fish- probably the best dish. This tasted how this dish should taste and the chicken was chunky.Garlic n chilli beef- no sauce, one or 2 piece of chilli, onions not cooked. Bad dish!Sweet n sour pork- i don’t eat this as i used to get this on the kids table at every wedding i went to. My wife didn’t enjoy this. 3 bbq combination- roast duck dry n not much flavour, roast pork boring n bbq pork also lacked flavour but chunky pieces.Overall dishes lacked alot of flavour.Service was ok. Seemed like wait staff and owners more welcoming to Caucasian than Asians. I guess not many come in. I won’t be back.
Great Customer Service! Lovely environment bustling ( might be too loud ) Even on a Wednesday night.. But the food was One of the best that i have ever had, very much a great place to eat soulful food! best part is their lemon lime bitters take the jug! Its great!
Booked for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. They were very accommodating with all our requests, including pre-ordering the meals, place setting for kids etc. The service was faultless, generous portions, great variety of dishes and we had a lovely relaxing lunch. Thank you Kitty for looking after us.
Fantastic meal. Fantastic meal. Fantastic meal. Fantastic meal. Fantastic meal. Fancy forcing me to write 140 characters for my review. Stupid app!
Yummy food but the lunch special is to small now!and even the mains are small too! we always get roast combo for mains, fired rice and crispy chicken… service is great
