The Swan Valley region is one of the best places in WA with it’s amazing sceneries and restaurants. And The Mallard Duck is no exception to this rule! Amazing food with some amazing company
Spent a very pleasant lunch here. Service impeccable, atmosphere and outlook very relaxing. We had the Beef and Burgundy pie with chips and salad which was extremely nice. Full of flavour, a generous serving and just perfect for a winters afternoon.
Very enjoyable restaurant and atmosphere. I have dined here a few times now and have been pleased and impressed on all occasions. The manager is very friendly and accomodating. The view from the restaurant is stunning. I have also attended a Wedding here and it was simply beautiful. Staff are very helpful in making the day run smoothly.
Just finished lunch at the Mallard duck, I came to this restaurant 3 years ago and ate lovely food and had a pleasant experience. Today however wasn’t marginally the same. The food is bland and the place has few clients. I would rate the food and menu below average pub food. I had a glass of white wine which wasn’t chilled or I assume there fridge hardware isn’t performing. My dessert was ordered with cream and came with ice cream instead, when they finally brought cream it was the swirty variety which says it’s all. The wait staff are generally pleasant but have no drive or passion for there work. The furniture on the deck area has 4 different types of chairs, nothing is uniform it’s all tired and need replacing. What happened to prestige white table cloths in restaurants and shiny cutlery the price certainly warrants it. I certainly won’t be back as it’s not good value at all currently. The place needs a new team and a Reno. It’s an attractive venue just poorly kept in the wrong hands. Very disappointed as was looking forward to a pleasant experience with family. There’s much better choice locally if your in the area.
Lovely lunch today – Maitre d was welcoming and friendly especially with kids 3 and 11.Enjoyable food served promptlyGreat sized portionsGood wine at affordable priceOverall a lovely lunch tasting plate was yum! Squid cooked to perfection! Kids milkshakes were also awesome!!Thank you
Terrible service. Warm beer. False advertising and refusal to match the price on their website! Completely unimpressed by behaviour of nasty manager!
Took my wife and 28 people to the Mallard Duck for her birthday and had a wonderful night with the usual high standard of food and servicethat we have come to expect as regular diners at this venue. It’s a great place where only the least happy people would be disappointed with anything. Everyone (but one, theres always one) claimed it was excellent value for money and lashings of good food made it a great night.Bob Slight
