Disappointing – not good value. I ordered a main course of fish with vegetables. Whilst it was tasty, although perhaps slightly undercooked, the amount of food was not good value for the price. Then, the dessert (crme caramel) seemed to be (i.e. tasted just like) simply an upturned, off-the-shelf-from-Woolies thing with a blob of cream. The combination of the unsubstantial main course, with the cheap, shop-bought-tasting dessert, means that I am unlikely to ever return.
We went there for lunch. It was busy with a Christmas function inside. We sat out on the veranda overlooking the little lake with waterbirds coming and going. Service was very friendly even though they were under the pump. I had the duck confit, my wife had the squid which had generous serving. The duck was just excellent with a sour cherry sauce and apple and walnut salad. Washed down with a glass of local Windy Creek white wine. We went to Windys very nice new cellar door off Great northern highway after. Excellent value wines by the case price. A nice afternoon!

This place is fairly expensive and I think they need bigger portions of food. Apart from that its really nice. Make sure you try the sticky date pudding also
