This was my third visit here and the quality of food, service and general ambiance have all deteriorated since the last time I was here (2 years ago). The food is not cafe style, nothing small on the menu. Portions are humongous, not very tasty and not suited for lunch. Our table was rickety and made it hard to overlook it, as everything on the table threatened to tip over. The decor used to be quirky and nice once, but looks dusty and tired now. And the place is expensive too! I wish the owners would go back to what they had back in the day, and make it the friendly and inviting place it used to be.
Quirky, casual and a bit kitsch is the best way to describe this cafe… but the food is outstanding. The pate is incredible and the beef bourguignon was so rich and tasty. Everyone loved their food.
I found this cafe a bit average. But I really want to gove it another go. It is very cute looking. But the menu needs some work. I found a lot of the dishes were bland or served cold. Three meals took them over an hour to bring them out, which was disappointing. The restaurant only had another couple dining at the time.
Lovely place and good service. We went on a weekend day they had live music playing. The pricing was reasonable but the taste was average. If say you want to have a really good meal I wouldn’t recommend but yes if you want to enjoy an afternoon with a couple glasses.
Country Comfort near city.. I had lunch here with a group of people visiting Perth. The food is well-priced, tasty and volume was just nice. The service was prompt and while you wait, you can go wine tasting at the room next door. Lots of shady parking up front. The naturally cooled indoor area was comforting for summer. We ordered the bread and dips for starters – enough for 4 people so definitely value for money. The dips were homemade and tasty. Well cooked Duck main course – crispy and the meat was soft – feel good food. I also had a taste of the one of he beef main course – forgot the name of the dish – but that was good too. Definitely returning there to eat again. Good place to bring visitors from overseas or from other states or a date + you can enjoy the sights + sounds + taste of Swan valley.
AMAZING FOOD! Especially the pasta provincale! I would eat here every day if I could!
Don’t like. I disappointed on my first visit but as a friend wanted to try it we returned with a group. The meals do not meet expectation of the prices charged (6 out of 10 of us weren’t happy) and the wine sales is a little pushy.
