Went here for breaky today based on all the positive reviews. Coffee was average. My oatmeal was bland… raisins were okay, baked pear was tasty but the natural almonds thrown in were odd and the porridge itself lacked sweetness and flavour.Husband found a piece of plastic in his omelette. Waitress offered to have a new one made but he’d eaten most of it and was full so said no. Would’ve been nice if they’d comp’d us a coffee or taken the dish off the bill altogether but nothing. Waitress didn’t make a reference to it at the till or even ask how our meal was (maybe coz she already knew what the answer would be).Circa was empty today at 9am while the cafes across the street were full of customers. That should’ve been a sign.This place clearly offers a decent evening meal judging by the reviews. But give it a miss for breaky.
Very nicely set out cafe. Great customer service. Decent menu and prompt service. The atmosphere is great as well as the layout and furniture. There is an awful smell along side the restaurant though, as you pass the kitchen to the bathrooms
Last Friday night before James Reyne show at Astor. The two young Italian lady hosts charming and efficient. Nice table. Good ambience. Food Ok to good but a little below what you would reasonably expect for the price range the restaurant sits at. Spaghetti Ragu was good but lacked seasoning and perhaps the sweet richness you would expect (does this make it good then?) The Chicken ‘discs’ with prawn and scallop stuffing similar to chicken medallions that you may get in a good pub. Again, not bad, not great but saved by the general service and ambience. Would recommend for pre-show meal but not destination dining.
Walked past this restaurant last night looking for a cosy place to dine and was straight away impressed by the ambience, look and feel of this beautiful restaurant. Staff was incredibly friendly and fun. Then we got our food (traditional Italian parmigiana from the specials list) and OMG…my friend and I both agreed it was to die for. I can’t wait to go there again.
Husband and I came here last week to try their food after we saw the amazing photos on instagram. Lovely and friendly staffs. Foods are amazing. I’d definitely come back here again and try other dishes.
We had an amazing dinner last night. Great wine and service too. We loved it so much we came back for lunch today and were equally impressed.
This place really is a gem. Dining here on Friday night with three friends, we could not fault anything. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. The cocktails were great too. Fabulous place, will definitelybe returning, and soon.
