This place is amazing! Sauce on point and prawns, squid and beef all so juicy and tender.Do yourself a favour. Quiet, quaint and they also deliver.
Beyond disappointed . Would defiantly not recommend. Came here with a group of 16 and did not have a pleasant experience at all. The food was ok but the service was appalling. Two young India girls working in an Asian restaurant ?? Go figure ??? They were rude and disrespectful. They reality is that we were the only people in the restaurant so they should have been a little more attentive . It was also super expensive and we got charged $6 for a singleScoop of vanilla ice cream. Do not waste your pennies people.
We dined at Junkboat tonight.. we had delicious chicken satay sticks and the best pho gah ever! Full of flavour and the chicken was great not fatty like other places we have tried! Thank you junkboat 🙂
Simply awful.Used uber eats to deliver Junkboat Vietnamese and now I feel like crying at the fact I’ve lost $55 on meals that I wouldn’t even feed to my dog.Everything was cold. I don’t expect it to be piping hot due to it being delivered to me however it may as well have been made the night before and it would have been the same temperature. The spring rolls were cold (obviously), so greasy and I honestly thought that the delivery driver could have sat on them they were that flat and squashed. The crispy duck in plum sauce – I took one bite and threw the rest in the bin. Crispy duck fat would be a more appropriate title. Chewy, fatty and completely inedible. Also the fact it says it’s served with fresh garden salad. 2 soggy lettuce leaves sat under the duck isn’t my idea of a fresh garden salad. The chicken satay skewers were the only thing that I actually liked. However, 1 skewer has left me hungry, unsatisfied and my hangover has just got 1000 times worse.
The squid was delicious and super crispy but remember to ask for chilli as it comes out with red capsicum where the chilli should be. Amazing stuffed crab claws too!
Disappointing. Service was patchy, although the server might’ve been very new. The vegetarian rice paper rolls were limp and bland, with very little tofu, and my dining partner’s caramelised pork (with rice) was very fatty. Perhaps we’d ordered the wrong items – it may just be one of those places that are a bit hit and miss. We also spotted a cockroach next to the counter as we were paying, which really summed up the night!
A much improved and well prepared and presented dining experience. We shared the Beef Lemongrass and Chilli and stirfry veggies. All very well prepared and presented. All round very good.Plus it’s BYO. Mint!!
