Had an enjoyable experience here last night. The room that houses the restaurant is great, beautiful ambience and very polished! Food was up there but wouldnt say its the best fine dining weve had in Perth (our special occasion restaurant used to be Amuse, still hunting for a replacement). Staffing/ service was very patchy, what appeared to be the owner/ manager was brilliant and so was another older staff member however the juniors seemed to struggle with fine dining basics such as topping up tables wine glasses/ even pouring a glass of wine when they bring a bottle over and explaining meals when theyre served. Despite this they were all very nice and it was excused because of how friendly they were. Could be a very good restaurant with some better service and maybe some more effort in their degustation dishes.
Even after about 10 visits, still one of my most favourite restaurants in Perth of all time. The flavours and detail in the food are next level and the service and ambiance is great every time. Will continue to return time and time again!
We all decided to go for the $95 seven course tasting menu. It was overall ok although we’ve had better degustations elsewhere. My favourite course was the dessert, and the scallops were good too. Staff were very friendly however, lacked a bit of attentiveness as they did not seem to come back with the correct number of cutlery at almost each course and had to grab an extra of something and come back. We only had 5 people, wasn’t like a massive group.
Nice and cosy place. Great service. Came here for the 7 course tasting menu and it was delicious! Thw scallop dish was the highlight of the dinner. Great combination and balance. Highly recommended.
Service is haphazard, not once did anyone ask to take our order, we always had to chase the staff. The dishes are pretty tasty but nothing to write home about. I think they would do better by focusing on making tasty food rather than making the food look sophisticated.
I’ve tried a degustation here. All dishes were very tasty, although I feel the flavour combinations wasn’t as interesting as many other degustations I have had. The service was good, although it was slow at times with filling up our glasses with water. Nice restaurant interior.
I have been meaning to go to this restaurant for a while because I love trying degustation menus but the restaurant itself looked cozy and beautiful. I love the intimate, yet almost casual feel of this space. It’s a mix of fine dining in the heart of mount lawley so you don’t get the stuffy vibe that other fine dining restaurants have. The food was amazing – I loved all the dishes apart from one that was blue cheese and sorbet, but that’s just my person taste. The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. My only gripe was that they didn’t have a list of wines to match the food but they had an appropriate wine list so we just ordered a bottle that we thought would go well – and it did!
