Just got home an had to write this review! Gotta warn people to STAY AWAY from this place. Food tasted okay but came out cold and portions were average, not to mention the guy that served us was less than friendly and seemed pre-occupied when it really wasnt that busy. Coffee was burned and soft drink was flat. Could get better service, better food and tables that arent sticky and wobbly pretty much anywhere else. If youre going Local, look for The Groove Train or Sporting Globe!!
I am sorry to say I was not impressed with tonight’s visit. Admittedly it was busy, asked for a table for two, The Manager had a quick look around, THEN TOLD US NOT ASKED US to go outside for 5 minutes, in which time he would bring us drinks while we waited. I asked if we could wait inside as it was cold outside, he said no outside and I will bring you drinks.I pointed out to him at least 6 chairs within the restaurant itself, and asked him could we not sit in them. Once again we were told no go outside.If not for the fact we are regulars to The Shack, we would have just moved on.After the 15 minutes we waited outside in the cold, WITHOUT THE DRINKS when we came inside I asked The Manager where the drinks he had promised us? He just looked at me and played dumb.Orders for food and drinks were taken, it then took 30 minutes before our drinks even arrived at the table, 5 minutes later our food arrived.The food itself, nor the two floor staff Connor and Wikitoria were below par in their friendly demeanor. Both were extremely busy, while The Manager rarely set foot outside from behind the bar, and not once came over to ask how was the food, was there anything he could get us.
Magic Mushies is best vegetarian burger I’ve ever had- was so juicy! My husband and I called through our order & it was ready for pick up in just 5mins. Staff are very friendly and love the decor- a relaxed beachy vibe. Would recommend to all my friends! Thank you!
