I love dropping by Sugar & Nice for baked goods when I’m in the hood. I have sampled various sweet treats in the past and my favourite toast-to-order smores has since been surpassed by my new favourite – the kouign-amann. I’ve only seen these at other bakery in Perth. It’s pure sugary butter crunchy joy. Kinda like a cronut/danish/croissant hybrid. At $6 a little exxy but pure sex in mouth.
Lemon meringue bundt cake is too good to resist! Right amount of sweetness and sourness. Coffee is good too. I love the cosy interior ambiance.
Great coffee but disappointed with the muffin I had. Blueberry and dark chocolate, certainly weren’t fresh blueberries and it was sickly sweet. Almost as though it was drowned in syrup before cooking. Would visit again for coffee, but maybe not food
Not impressed at all! Poor selection, unfriendly AND inattentive staff. Quality of the desserts were alright. The coffee was horrible and I didn’t even want to drink it after the first sip. Wouldn’t waste my time and money especially when there are plenty other great options in Perth.
Coffee was good, you could taste the lemon peel in the chewy moist muffin…the place is a little unstated from the street but would definitely come again and spread the word.
A bit underwhelmed with what was available here, but maybe I misunderstood what they actually serve. In any case, I chose the crumpets with loaded topping – ginger lemon curd, dehydrated raspberry and some (sugared almond?). Loved the crumpets, fresh, crispy and warm. The lemon curd was yummy and not too sour – flavours went well. Quite satisfied with the dish, might try others next time.
Just letting you know having your current menu up on your profile can often be the clincher between a prospective customer trying you out or not. I’m giving you 4 stars as I haven’t tried the food and giving you the benefit of the doubt is fair at this stage.
