Arguably the best Thai restaurant outside of the CBD. Their Spicy Fried Rice is a must order and so is their Masaman. Good to have South East Cuisine that’s decent around this area.

After several false starts, we FINALLY managed to get here last week to see what our friends were raving about. Nice little place with parking out the back.I started with Tom Yum Gai – this was very nice and I was asked if I wanted mild or hot; I went with medium. My daughter had fish cakes, which came out with peanuts sprinkled on top the sauce (peanuts weren’t mentioned in the description). We asked for a new plate with new sauce but instead they recooked everything, just to be sure. Fantastic, couldn’t ask for more. My husband had chicken wings, which to be honest, looked a little plain to me. I pestered him for his rating out of 10 and he gave them a 9 (wish I’d tried a bite). My mother had the money bags and although nice, they seemed to lack flavour (we’re used to the other money bags at a competitor’s). They would be my only markdown. For mains, we had honey chicken (No 8), Goong snow peas (No 11 – prawn dish), Pad Patiam Prik Thai (No 55 – garlic and pepper beef), and of course, steamed rice. The honey chicken was interesting. We thought we could taste maybe desiccated coconut in the honey coating. Different, but nice. The prawn and beef dishes were both very nice.As usual, we’d over-ordered and so wanted to take home leftovers. We have now learnt, that if you have multiple dishes and rice, you may want to ask them to put them in separate containers, as our two mains and one rice were put in two (not three) containers, and they’d split the rice between the two. I’d prefer mine separately, thanks (and would be happy to pay a little bit for a container surcharge if this is why they do it). All in all, it was a pleasant meal with no corkage charge. Worth a look.
