The staff here are happy to talk patrons through the wines and sometimes offer a taste. Great idea to partner with Flipside next door for burgers. The Stanley has a decor that invites you to relax and unwind, perfect for a couple or group, with armchairs and assorted other furniture. If you have a large group/function the Jesus Room can be reserved.

Cosy and relaxed vibe. Love that you can order flipside burgers and they’re hand-delivered to you. Decent enough wine selection for a quiet Sunday night.

  • Doggy

Went for a couple of drinks and a burger from Flipside. Good to see that they have teed up with Flipside and allow you to enjoy a burger with your pint – more venues should take a leaf out of their book and relax. Limited amount of beer selection and it is not cheap. Cool little bar but pretty basic, feels like you are at someones house – kind of cool in a way but can make you question why you are spending $10 on a stubby when you could be at home.

  • Lucysandford

Incredibly rude bartender. A lovely bar, great atmosphere, surroundings and drinks list. However the night was completely ruined by the female bartender. I was dumbfounded that someone working in a service style job could possibly treat customers so rudely! No idea what her problem was but I gather this is not a one off evening. Will go back but will definitely steer clear of her as I felt so uncomfortable ordering a drink!

  • Applesauce

It is impossible to book a table here apparently. After weeks of calling, leaving messages and have no one ever get back to me – I walked in and asked only to be told to phone and leave a message. Not helpful at all. I was hoping to organise a casual birthday drink here. Not any more.

  • Talking Tastebuds

Wonderful and personal venue but male bar staff is rude. Unnecessarily unfriendly to my Asian colleagues

  • Prince Of Perth

Royal Seal of Approval. The best small/local bar in Perth. A hidden gem.
