We came twice in succession for dinner and then lunch two days later – dinner was great with the chefs special veg pasta being fresh and tasty – the haloumi and field mushroom was also great – we felt it was a cut above most perth pub meals with very reasonable pricing for the quality .The lunch following was equally good value with a great burger – chicken fettuccine with very fresh veg was verging on superb – we will be back for more- additionally beer was well priced and served with a friendly smile
Was looking forward to the old pub food of the last drop. Very average. I had the beef and Guinness pie the pie was ok but lots of chewy fatty beef. My colleague had the duck stir fry. The duck was very chewy and tasted like a kantong stir fry mix. The vegetarian pasta tasted like an Indian clove of garlic with gluggy pasta. Our two year old was happy with the chips. Won’t go back again.
Cutest building in town! You will feel the warm and cozy ambiance from the minute you walk in. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The drinks are pretty cheap! Only $1 for a soda water, which was astonishing – that’s how you reil in designated drivers, right?! They had a decent selection of various meals on the menu and a very inviting specials board. We all loved our meals – great quality pub food! Look forward to coming back.
Hadn’t been here for years so decided to try the meals again for dinner. The decor in the pub is a terrible mishmash of signs, bad lights and beer cartons stored right next to the bar. Bar service was fine. Menu has a lot of options but have not previously seen bangers and mash where you can ay for 1 or 2 sausages! Partner had chicken parmigiana which was standard quality. My pork belly was a lump of overcooked grey meat with thin crackle. Veges were ok. Will not be returning.
Love the interior and staff are very friendly and attentive. We went for lunch and it’s pretty quiet then. Would love to see what it’s like when it’s packed! We got fish and chips($16.5) as well as salt and pepper calamari($15), nice and easy. Love the cloudy apple cider they have on tap, it went down really easily.
Just had dinner there for my partners birthday. I had the pork belly which was ok apart from the crackling not done well with some chewy non crackled bits, but my partners steak with garlic prawns n steamed veggies was really poor. The sauce turned out to be a bland floury white sauce with a hint of garlic and the steamed veggies was small, unseasoned and there was no starch component such as potatoes. Disappointing as we have eaten here before and had much better food. Also interesting that no one asked had we enjoyed our meal.
Went and had chicken parmigiana for lunch followed by sticky date pudding which we shared both meals. Excellent service, great atmosphere, good value for money and would go again for sure.
