Very nice restaurant, very well laid out and welcoming. Me and the wife visited Hunter and Barrel on a cold wet Monday lunchtime, it was so nice and warm in there. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, but not over the top. They do have some fantastic single malts here, very impressed. The menu is extensive and weighted heavily towards carnivores, no complaints there.I had the lamb shoulder, it was magnificent, very well cooked and presented. My wife had the pork belly, it was served with either salsa verde or chilli sauce, she chose the chilli, it certainly had a chilli hit. The pork was served in a hot skillet, which whilst being a little unusual, it was very pleasing to hear it sizzling and the smell was lovely as it came to the table, the down side was that it did become a little overcooked and dry after a few minutes as a result.I will definately visit here again, the rib eye on the bone served to the guy on the next table looked awesome, the wife wants the lamb. I don’t think it will be the pork belly next time.

We ordered the King’s Feast meat platter for two with a carafe of Pinot Grigio. We left completely satisfied! Perfectly cooked steak, pork ribs, lamb and chicken with sides for $44 each, easily worth the money for the quality and quantity of food provided. Well done all, we will see you again soon!
