We’ve been here several times for breakfast or lunch and each time found the food fresh and service lovely. Rug up though as it gets chilly.

Tucked away in the hills of Perth lies HopsScotch. Great little outdoor playground for the kids. Stay until dusk an you will see the bandicoots come out (see photo). We had a table of 11 (plus 2 young kids), and most people seemed happy with their meals. Staff were also lovely.I ordered the sweet potato puffs, these themselves were very nice – but the bed of cauliflower, onion, and spinach was rather average i must admit. My partner got some sort of beef burger which he mentioned the pattie was very dry.We both said to each other we would love to give the place another go one day in the near future as it seems to have potential 🙂

Every time I go I wonder why I didn’t come back sooner.Meals are delicious with traditional, simple flavours. The gardens are amazing. You can loose yourself in the natural vegetation.Great play area for kids.Beer on tap, wine list for days and a great selection of Tea, coffee and cake.If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favour and go.

My partner and I went to Hopscotch for the first time last night and were very pleasantly surprised. Beautiful surroundings, friendly staff and outstanding food. We had the whole crayfish tail and the lamb rack for mains. Both cooked absolutely perfectly. The lamb rack serving was exceptionally good value for money; it was huge! We’ll definitely be back

My parents went to go here a few days back. Upon arrival they were told the kitchen was closed due to a large party in attendance later on in the day but they could still have coffee and cake. There was no notice out the front on the road with the open sign to indicate any difficulty in being served food, plus the large party wasn’t there yet. This tells me that they have minimal staff and can’t handle even a moderate amount of customers. Poor service and bad management. Mum and dad loved this place but most likely won’t be back. Better off going to Roley’s on the Ridge or Core Cider House. Heck, even Woodies Charcoal Chicken offers better service than that and they’re always busy!

Ok so first experience wasnt so swell. I was served raw sword fish… but wait staff and chef apologized and bought out something else on menu. I will be back but the review will remain till next visit.

I’m sorry but I was really not impressed. We went here for lunch today with a group of 6 friends. The setting is absolutely beautiful – no complaints there but that’s pretty much all that impressed. Service was quite slow to place our order and then food took quite a long time. Our order was taken at the table all together however it took about 15 minutes between the first meal coming out to the last getting to the table. Hubby had a burger – all the salad was piled up in the middle of the bun (2 slices of tomato on top of each other, cucumber stacked in a pile etc). I had the ‘cheeky pot pie’ and it was very disappointing. A small dish, burnt pastry top and when lifting the topOff we found that pot was only half filled. I questioned this with a waitress who apologised and took it back to the kitchen. It came back about 5 minutes later fuller but now the mash with it was stone cold. It was pretty ordinary mash too. The last two meals to come to our table were also cold as we’d seen the waitress walk around the place about 3 times before finding the right table. We won’t be going back.
