Stopped in here for lunch today, out of the way, but DEFINITELY worth going the extra mile or two for. Service: Friendly, fast, and a good choice of food. Food: had the Chicken in PJs, Massive CHUNK of chicken, cooked to perfection, with spicy chips (enough for one) and salad with good tasty dressing, not oily. Drinks: Opted for an Iced coffee and Ice chocolate, both came in a pint glass with ice. Water: cold out of the fridge without the normal ‘tap water’ taste, (tasted like my filtered water at home) and FREE. Meal and iced drink for $22.00 each. A good bargain, won’t require much food for dinner tonight. Back deck overlooking the fruit trees and native bush is covered and a slight breeze blows through keeping the area cool…ish. New Proprietors Em Savioja and Siim Aljak from Estonia, doing a cracking job….we’ll be back again.

Today we enjoyed a Sunday family lunch of 11 at Paddys newly renovated dining area inside. They have outdoor areas and a kids playground which we didnt explore on this occasion. Menu choices are fairly large with the usual pub grub suspects and a selection of specials of the day on the board. The dining area looks nice, relaxed and casual, a good place to bring the family with kids as some have already discovered. Food and drinks are ordered at the counter. Staff were friendly, and service was good. I ordered the scotch fillet steak with mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and mushroom sauce. I had a glass of red along with my meal which you pick up at the bar after paying. As we were quite a large group the food arrived at different times, with the second lot arriving about 20 minutes after the first lot. But it all looked good and was hot, and what I tasted from other plates, was good; I tried the drunken beef cheeks and the osso bucco. Serves were generous. My steak was as I ordered it, medium rare, and the mushroom sauce was excellent. All was well seasoned, so I did not reach for any salt or pepper. The enables were carrots, broccoli and cauliflower and were cooked well. All in all a very good hearty lunch in the new refurbished dining area. The kids could run around without us feeling overwhelmed.
