Visited today to find a lovely cafe which was nicely decorated and had a lovely, albeit small, outdoor area. I ordered the avo toast and my husband ordered the fried chicken burger. The food arrived quickly and were very generous in size. My avo toast lacked flavour, supposedly having basil oil on it, yet it didn’t even have a hint of basil flavour. My husband’s burger was ok, the chicken was very flavoursome but very thin and lacked sauce so it was dry. It came with sweet potato crisps which were average, perhaps it should come with real chips. I would say if you’re in the area to check it out but we wouldn’t rush back there. The service was not particularly friendly either.
i must begin by saying i love the design and implementation of this place. a cafe in a house within a decently busy housing estate next to a school is quite the feat to be proud of. however the food this time didnt quite live up to my expectations. the burger was quite nice but the sweet potato got in the way for most part and didnt add much to the overall dish.
We wanted to go to Harvest Expresso to celebrate the collection of our new car. But it was closed. So we detoured and came here instead. It is a quaint little cafe. The coffee was how we wanted it to be. My pancakes were beautiful and my darling had a yummy healthy salad. The weather was amazing! What a fantastic way to celebrate!
