So good! Food was very tasty, fresh & service was absolutely lovely. The Sweet n Sour Pork was notable – solid portions of pork in a light batter.
First time coming here since they’ve changed owners. Food still tastes good. They mixed up one of our dishes and wanted to change it over but this day near the end of our dinner. Didn’t realise the mix up until they informed us. The food doesn’t taste like most Chinese restaurants not so rich in taste and easy on the taste buds. Can recommend stuffed eggplant dish of you love your eggplants. Bah Ku Teh is quite tasty.
They have changed name to All Star Bakut Teh House. Today was our first time ordering dishes to share. Every dish was yummy. Our fav were Special Noodle, Almond Chicken & Eggplant with Minced Pork. Looking forward to go back and try other dishes.
Bak kut teh was not authentic but yummy. Different herbs were used in this dish so it was more like herbal soup. nevertheless, it was not bad and I happily ate it with rice. This place was alright for simple night dinner. i don’t live nearby so i wouldn’t drive all the way here though. I tried their Hokkien black fried noodles – it was so-so. I would probably stick to their Bakuteh
Terrible service and food. Service staff are extremely rude. Food is overpriced for what it is. Under flavoured or over flavoured.
Something Different. Not being a food specialist, I just know what I like. I loved the eggplant and mushroom dish, sorry I don’t recall the name. It was delicious. The Mongolian beef was excellent, lots of flavours. Serves are a good size unlike other restaurants where serves tend to get smaller the more you visit.I enjoyed the meal and will be back. Thanks you, give it a go.
Ordered the NZ Flounder which was listed as a chef’s recommendation. The fish was extremely stale; the flesh was yellowish and tasteless. When we informed the waitress, all she said was ‘ok’ not even glancing at the offensive dish. The other dishes we ordered were extremely oily and below average. Only the bakuteh and rice was passable. Will not be going back for seconds nor recommend this place to an enemy.
