In my opinion, the best satay in Perth, another dish regularly ordered when visiting this place is the nasi lemak, always eat at Izyan when I visit Spencer Village.
My partner and I came here on a Wednesday around 630pm and wanted to try the food, as we usually go somewhere else for the same dishes. We ordered the beef rendang and a few curry puffs. We got it takeaway so didn’t take photos, but we can say that it’s just not up to par. Spencer village has many other hawkers with more tastier versions of these dishes. The beef rendang was sweet, it looked nice on display, but honestly was so disappointed because the Indonesian hawker next to them is better as it gives a more spicier taste that’s not too hot. The curry puffs seemed to be the same. For me personally I like my curry Puffs to taste like curry, so the best ones I could recommend is from the dessert store just outside the hawkers. Wouldn’t recommend or go back to this place, as I’ve already mentioned, there’s better.
Cold, bland curries in bay maree.I could of made better at home!!Lamb ribs however are amazing!! Better than charcoal chicken. Deep smokey flavour as they finish them off on the coals. The lamb curry was ok but most of the flavour was covered by the amount of salt.Recommend coming here purely for the satay chicken and lamb ribs!!
Decent and cheap (emphasis on cheap) malaysian cuisine with plenty of choices including my favorite $10 lamb satay. Taste-wise though it’s rather hit or miss as sometimes it can be really juicy and delicious but sometimes like yesterday it could be quiet hard to bite.Oh, and their $2.50 chicken curry puff is not too bad either!
