This bakery is well known for their egg tarts and siew pao. I will normally drive all the way down here when ever I craved for their egg tarts, pandan cake and maybe siew pao. The egg tarts and pandan cake are really nice here. Siew pao was good too but not my favourite. Tried their curry puff, didn’t really like it that much.

I ordered a fruit cocktail cake for a party. The cake was great! All our guests enjoyed it, it was fresh and light, really delicious! The price was very reasonable too.

Heard of the durian speciality desserts they have so I made a trip down. The durian swiss roll ($15) was so creamy but slightly on the sweeter side. Will try the cream puffs next time I visit.

I believe that they recently moved to Coventry Village in Morley. Their pastry is very good and similar to Hong Kong style. I noticed that there is some misunderstand of what is Asian pastry. For swiss roll, it is supposed to be just cream and nothing else. Their service was ok. I will be going back.

We have made the drive down to Thornlie to sample the buns from Master Chang’s bakery in Spencer Village. As soon as we rolled up, we spotted the bakery at the corner of the village. We went inside and the first thing I noticed was how small it was. Since we were here, we decided to stock up on buns, so we got red bean, kaya and BBQ buns to take home. The bread was light and fluffy, and the red bean and kaya fillings inside were plentiful, unlike other bun shops when it is just bread and no filling. The red bean was sweet and tasted like authenic Malaysian red bean, and the kaya was creamy and smooth and delicious. We will be back for more of this yummy delight!

Great Asian pastries for when u want to treat urself. The pastry is very rich and buttery though so not a place to go if ur on a diet. Egg tarts, pork buns and curry puffs are all popular.

This is my go to place for good old fashioned Asian bakery goods. They are not fancy and tastes and looks just like home made baked goods. I love their egg tarts and kaya puffs. The pastry is always crispy and buttery, very good fragrance. The siew pao is also pretty popular and it’s one of the few places to sell durian puffs!
