Has been quite some time since Ive eaten here. Came for mid week dinner for 4 and the restaurant was pretty quiet. Friendly waitress let us have our pick of tables and we were promptly given menus. We ordered the lotus chips (delicious), roti (very good), the nyonya chicken curry (good), the Kleo chicken (tasty), mee goreng (delicious) and a bowl of curry laksa (ok, not a huge fan of the flavour of this one). All in all the food was pretty authentic – the curries taste-wise were great but would have been nicer if there were some potatoes or something a bit more interesting in the curry other than the chicken only (but this might just be the style of the dish). Service was friendly and attentive and vibe of the restaurant was good. Definitely a little on the pricier side but the quality of food was there. Would definitely recommend.
Big open restaurant with a really nice decor. We came on a Tuesday night at 5.30pm. By 7pm, the smaller section of the restaurant was full.Service was mostly good, a little pushy but OK. The food was good, their Satay sauce was true Satay and it was devine. We opted for the traditional food – Mee Goreng and Char Kway Teo and both were yummy.I just found the music was pointlessly loud. When we first sat it was nice and quiet and we could have a normal conversation. Then the music was turned on and I had to ask for it to be turned down because the speaker was right next to our table. Even then it was still too loud once all the tables filled up. It just seemed overkill.
