Visited Citrus last weekend. Very friendly service and knew the menu well and when asked about the chefs best dishes she recommended a few to try out.Entrees were good, samosas were home made and very good, chicken tikka was succulent and not over cooked, the onion badjis were slightly over cooked. We had a range of mains, the stand outs bent the goat curry, and the Palau chicken. The Butter chicken was too Smokey flavoured – a bit strange. The others were ok. For our tastes the curries had decent flavour but generally lacked a kick of chilli. The portion sizes were on the small side. The naan was very good, and authentic.Overall, a good experience, with attentive service. Just give the curries and extra kick to take it to the next level.
Dining with friends, we took advantage of a scoopon which made this excellent value for money. Scoopons are a great way to try a place The restaurant has changed hands since our last visit (which had been very poor) and there were no complaints about the food on this occasion which was flavoursome. Portion sizes are on the small side for mains though, so if you have a good appetite you may want to order more than one dish. The restaurant isn’t very large and all tables were full on our visit – about 30 people. The wait staff were warm, welcoming and very polite, but service was on the slow side. We were served our samosa’s and had ask where our order of onion bahjis had got to. I think these had perhaps been overlooked. It’s a BYO with a reasonable $4 corkage.
Great little restaurant. Food is delicious and the service is attentive. The place can get busy so best to book early. Will definitely visit this place often.
Found this restaurant by mistake was looking for another place however we booked for Saturday night with friends amazing food great service very tasty. Extensive menu would definitely we all will definitely go back again. It is a very busy restaurant so need to book.
Great for group dining as so many delicious options to share and the vegetarian dishes are amazing so no one will feel left out. Would highly recommend the harra barra kebabs for starters, filled with oozy melting cheese, and the dhal makhani and shabnam curry. Can’t speak personally to the meat dishes but they smelt amazing and got a big thumbs up from the meat eaters at the table. Servings are generous and well presented and the prices are extremely reasonable. Great local Indian for anyone lucky enough to live nearby.
Excellent food. Great service. Tried some of the vegetarian dishes, harra barra kebab, dhal makhani and shabnam curry. As a true carvivore…..Oh my god! No better way to eat vegetarian meals!!!Wasn’t disappointed with the carnivore favs of butter chicken and lamb rogan josh either. Absolutely moorish!!!!!Will definitely return
We had a great meal at Citrus restaurant the other night, ordered chicken tikka masala and cheese naan and were very impressed by the flavour of the food. Cheese naan was so fresh and tasty and chicken tikka masala was by far the best we had so far. Keep up the good work guys
