We’ve been to this restaurant a few times now and all I can say is their customer service has finally hit rock bottom.Don’t get me wrong, the dim sum here is good but nothing special and can definitely get better elsewhere in Perth. However being a local to where we live it’s great to have a place that does decent dim sum.Now to get to the point! I went in for lunch 20th July and we arrived before 12pm so it wasn’t busy yet, there was still a few tables left. So naturally we didn’t have to wait for a table which was great.Food was served reasonably fast so that was good too. However! The wait staff are not very attentive or when it starts getting a little busy they seem to get lost a lot or probably more suitable description would be overwhelmed. We had to wave down someone several time to get attention and when we finally did all we wanted was tap water for our child. 10 minutes pass and we still haven’t gotten our tap water, so we thought ok it’s getting busy people are waiting outside and they may have forgotten. Here we start the game of flagging down another wait staff, which is proving to be rather hard. We ask for tap water again because our child was thirsty and they said yes yes we’ll get it for you. Nope! No tap water still!I find it rather ridiculous that you have to ask 3 different wait staff 6 times over a period of half and hour and that 1 out of the 3 wait staff we had to ask her 4 times! Yes that’s right, 4 times for tap water to same wait staff! We even had to get out of our seat to bring her the plastic cup (which they provided) and ask her to kindly pour a cup of tap water and that cup never came back! It was hitting close to 45 minutes now trying to get tap water. then we noticed the plastic cup sitting on the cabinet where they prepare tea, so we walked over and there it was the plastic up filled with water but no one bothered to even bring it to table. After we had to retrieve our own cup of tap water, someone else who we’ve previously had asked at least over 20 minutes before brought over a teapot filled with room temperature tap water.I seriously had never experienced a restaurant that simply cannot get you tap water and that we had to wait over 45 minutes and chase them several times. The rating of 1 is seriously for the decent quality of dimsum, beside that I recommend skipping this place and going elsewhere. We certainly will be driving further for dim sum from now on.
After change of owners and renovations, the dim sum is really good here. Definitely recommended, especially if you cant be bothered going to the city. Best to go early on weekends as it gets busy or else during the week is not so bad (dont usually need to wait )
