Great flavour in the soup, chewy noodles, beefy slices, what more can you ask for in a Pho Tai. Service is friendly, meals came out fast and were well priced. If you are looking for the restaurant it is next to Subway and the sign reads Viet Long.
Excellent authentic Vietnamese food and very affordable prices as well. It’s a small establishment and not much to look at, but you can always get take away. The food is well worth it, especially all the soup noodles. Definitely worth a try!
I love going here for take away. I always go for the raw beef ho fun soup or the broken rice and I’m never disappointed. The cheap decor and setting of the establishment is an after thought for me as I always get take out. In saying that, it has tables and chairs, all that you really need to eat a meal. You won’t go here for a first class experience but it’s probably as close as you’ll get to eating in a genuine Vietnamese street side vendor
A hidden gem, i was taken here by a Vietnamese friend for a quick lunch, we both had a beef pho, it made me feel like i was in Vietnam again, delicious and spicy, im going back to try other dishes .
Went to take my parent out to eat and Viet Long was the place they chose. The place is very small, service is good but if you know Vietnamese, it makes it easier to order. Here is what we ordered:Bamboo soup with duck: very healthy dish, and fresh! Hu tieu bo kho: basically a beef stew with hu tieu noodles. Tasty, with a light broth. Pho: not the best pho. The broth was not very fragrant and strong. Noodles were sticking together. Cam tam with fried rice: fresh, and juicy. My wife was happy with her meal. I tasted the pork chop and it had a different flavour than most but the pork was very juicy. 3 bean drink: great way to finish a meal. I can see why my parents like this place, they serve authentic dishes from Vietnam. I wont be back for the Pho but for the other taste of Vietnam. Oh its great value for money. Veggies are plentiful and fresh. Be adventurous and sample other flavours of Vietnam.
We came here last night when the craving for Vietnamese food hit!We had the broken rice pork chop with everything, which was delectable. The crispy chicken egg noodle (dry) was yum and a huge serve, with great textured noodles. We also had rice paper rolls AND deep friend spring rolls, and both were fresh and tasty. Everything came to $33, which is crazy good. Will return many times!
We had the seafood noodles, beef combination pho and broken rice. It was fabulous as the soup stocks were very aromatic with herbs and suited the meats to a tee! The grilled pork chop was heavenly with generous amounts of lemon grass marinated in! Reasonable prices, big portionsand quick no-fuss serviceDefinitely one of the gems in the north!!
