The ambience of this place leans itself more towards an office crowd than your average city wanderer, but nevertheless the staff are quite attentive and polite even if you meander in with jeans and scruffy sneakers.I initially wanted to try this place out for the coffee, but ended up a tad coerced into getting lunch as well. Was I intimidated by the formality of the place? Perhaps. Did I feel like the staff put in a lot of effort in advertising the lunch? Very much so.I ordered an italian main and a coffee, and while the main was alright the coffee wasn’t fantastic. It was quite expensive overall and, suit or not, I didn’t feel like I could relax in this place without having my hair done by a professional. This would probably be a good place to take an attorney or a mother-in-law who insists that you dress up every time you see them. Your guest will be impressed with the service but perhaps not so impressed that they’ll ask to go again. To be fair, the level of formality is implied in the name…yet I also have found higher quality food for a more reasonable price across the street.

Working week get together in the CBD. Had a meeting here with ET, JOH & RA. I had been in meetings all morning so was crazy hungry. Ordered the duck chorizo wrap. Came with salad. Nice moist filling in wrap with chewy duck sausage. Had a Perrier sparkling water to douse it all down. Very heavy wrap & certainly a hunger killer. It’s an $18 wrap to put your stomach at ease. Worth a visit and try the coffee. Staff were friendly & helpful. Parking maybe a problem. So scooter, ride or skateboard.

Such a disappointment. Went here for lunch and ordered the eggs hollandaise with ham. I asked if the hollandaise was homemade or carton and they said homemade. Firstly- if someone asks that question you should probably assume they know the difference. I absolutely love fresh hollandaise and can’t stand the carton stuff- Lo and behold it was the latter that was on my plate when it came out. I was so angry! Secondly- poached eggs were hard, and the ham that was used was the cheap supermarket variety. Seriously- pick up your game. The price and Location deserves so much more. I can get this quality, if not better from the Dome next door for half the price.

Service in Perth is known to be slow, however waiting, 30 min for a pot of green teaand1hr for a cooked breakfast is beyond acceptable. Being located in Brookfields surrounded by office workers who cant spend more than an hr for what was meant to be a quick bite. Upon notifying Owner the need to leave, was asked whether Iwanted the recently cooked breakfast in a take away bag. Do they not realise people happy to pay a premium for scrambled eggs for a dining experience not a doggy bag. Owner then proceeded to charge for full amount for coffee, teas and a cheesecake which smelt like it had been refrigerated all weekand added a 1.5% surcharge for use of credit card. Appalling service to say the least, I would not recommend this place nor visit again

Dropped in for a breakfast with everyone from work, we had preordered our food days before making the process much simpler. The waitress did a once over for any extra drink orders and started preparing the food. When they say large coffee, they mean large! Would easily be 2-2.5 normal cups in there. I went for the steak which seemed to be a fillet cut, it was tender and well cooked. Everyone was pleased with their coffees, fresh oj and meals. Will be back again in a few weeks

Finally tried out Black Tie Company. Lots of cakes and baked goods on display. Extensive drinks menu, including Horlicks and Grapetizer! #flaskback They are also BYO. I intend to come back to try their breakfast menu. Coffee was reported to be weak, and the coffee order was the same so a little confusion as to the different vessels! Very nice service 🙂 Apologetic for an incorrect coffee order. And tap water brought to the table, nice touch.

This place is an absolute cracker of a cafe. Right on the Terrace opposite Central Park. Get in here and everything is really nice and super reasonably priced – $29 for a full on steak. Coffee is well made – give this place a go….
