I have always wanted to try Chapels on Whatley but the quality of the food left me surprisingly disappointed. There is no nicer way to put it unfortunately but the quality of the Trio of Steamed Bao Buns was simply not there.The serving was huge that I had to ask for a takeaway box for the last bao. The steamed Baos themselves were soggy. All tasted the same despite difference sauce being advertised, possibly due to the same filling of carrots and bean sprouts. The most disappointing Bao was the prawn which had two or three cheap looking cooked prawns in the same vegetable mix and sauce.The tea was good. The interior decor is very traditional and unique. I am willing to give this place another try due to the most good reviews but today’s food was well under par.
