Ive been coming here for years hands down the best Thai food NOR. Delivery is 2.50 what more could you ask for? The chicken cashew nuts and the curries are to die for.

I live local and have tried this place a total of 3 times. Which is my absolute max for a place that has been so average every time. The food is lacking in flavor and tastes like it’s frozen vegetables added to a Thai paste with or without meat. I so wanted this place to be good but it really isn’t

A quiet night in and so we decided to order in. Dont let the images distract you. This is good, simple and tasty Thai. Friendly, helpful and hospitable receptionist. We ordered Pad Thai vegetarian, stuffed chicken wings and a chicken kapow with the only serve of rice possible (for $2.50 why not). It was hot on time and delicious. The wings (2) for $6 were crispy golden with a rare balance of herbs , veg and meat. The not on the menu vego Pad Thai was tasty greens and mixed veg packed with perfect amount of lubrication coating the noodles. As for the Kapow. Dont expect a hot and spicy dish. This was a soy based tasty jus. Plenty of perfectly cooked chicken pieces with two large pieces of broccoli and other mixed veg. All for $43. Yes worth repeating. Only improvement Id hoe for would be the inclusion of napkins and eco cutlery.

After so many bad experiences at Pad Thai, I must write a review. I am really disappointed. The food was bland, nor was it traditional. I ordered pad thai, which I expected to have shrimp, peanuts and tofu. It had none of those ingredients. It had, in addition to the rice noodles and egg, large pieces of carrot, bok choi, onion and cucumber. These watery vegetables gave it a sloppy and mushy texture. It was almost inedible, had I not been so hungry, I’d have thrown it out. I also ordered a dish of stir fried vegetables which was also flavourless, this I did throw out. When I called to make the order, the girl asked me if I wanted chicken in the pad thai, I’ve never heard of chicken in pad thai as it is a noodle dish, so I said no chicken (I don’t eat chicken). Then she said ‘vegetarian’, not understanding why she said that, I repeated ‘I don’t eat chicken, normal pad thai please’. The meal cost me $28 although on the website it quoted $24.

This is a very small restaurant with wonderful Thai food that has never disappointed me. The staff are great and they go out of their way to help you. The price was reasonable with two people having two courses each, entrees were Satay Chicken x 4 sticks and a Combo which was a sample of 4 diferent items, mains were Tom Ka Curry, Masaman Curry and it came in at $60. Definately have no hesitation in recommending Ploy Thai.

I am perplexed at the positive reviews for this place. This place is definitely not authentic thai, but even worse still the food is mediocre. The dishes lack ingredients for the price you’re paying and the food in general lacks the balance of spice and flavour that you’d expect from a good Thai place. I’ve had better Thai out of a frozen meal.

I have never eaten at the Ploy Thai, but often get takeout from there. The red duck curry is to die for… the meat is so tender and the sweetness of the lychee and pineapple makes the whole dish pop. I also love their pad thai – quite authentic and thoroughly delicious.
