Always happy with the Fish and Chips at the Golden Snapper.Decent serve of hot chips when ordered. plus the fish was cooked well.Only 2 minor critiques:1- I was overcharged by mistake and got a refund straight away. lucky to double check the receipt.2- Rather than a industrial size fan only moving hot air around inside the shop. Would be for a wise investment of an air conditioner to keep your customer comfortable as at Sunset, the heat inside the store was intense. (But i do have even more sympathy for the workers over those large fryers. very hot indeed!)The service at the counter is always pleasant nonetheless.we will return most definitely.
Stumbled on this place a few months ago when looking for the Indian that used to be nearby. Thought we would give it a go as I haven’t been keen on the local fish and chip shops in surrounding areas. Glad we did. Thought it was the best fish and chips we’ve had in our local area. Nice light batter and chips were good. Grilled fish was also lovely, wasn’t over cooked which fish is so often in takeaway places. Def worth a go!
Fast and friendly service. Crisp and tasty batter. Fresh fish. Chips nothing special. Average portion sizes. Fair prices. Would return as it’s close to home, but I wouldn’t rave about this place.
