Almost don’t want to give away our favourite Chinese restaurant details because it IS quiet there but we eat here quite often and we have a large family to feed. The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly.
We ordered specialty of the house which was a pork in sauce. Unfortunately it was the samePork they slice up for the special fried rice in a non authentic sweet sauce. None of the food tasted authentic. For $65.80 I would have expected fresh and authentic but was sadly disappointed.
Honey chili chicken, sizzling beef, hokkiein noodle and special fried rice. Omg! Perhaps it was the meals we ordered but they were sensational! Each dish I have ordered at a rival chinese restaurant in the area but Merriwa would rate at least 4 out of 5 for each dish! Hopefully the other meals we order from there will match up but very impressed so far. And they deliver! Only complaint is that it is $8 delivery for Clarkson (1km away) and only an additional $2 for Alkimos which is 10kms away. Better ratio for delivery /kms I think is needed. Otherwise the best chinese in the area so far.
Loved it. Best chinese i have ever had! The chicken dishes i haven’t had one bad piece in the whole time we have been going there
