The serving sizes are impressive for the price. Good value. Fried rice is nice. Only thing I was disappointed with was the boneless lemon chicken. It was a bit tasteless.
There are Chinese restaurants and then there is Seagrove. You never have that greasy sick feeling afterward and they do not use MSG. Their prawn toast and honey chicken is to die for although there has never been a dish that wasn’t devoured from here. Won’t eat Chinese anywhere else.
I’m embarrassed to say that it has taken me far too long to write a review for this restaurant even though it is a must-do whenever family come to visit. Whether a large family reunion or a small takeaway order for two, this location is one of the best I have ever been to. In all the years I have lived in this part of the world, I have never encountered a meal that has disappointed me. Even extended family and friends have travelled from as far as Albany to dine here and have requested takeaway orders to bring with us on our next visit. The set-up is best suited to larger groups order a selection of dishes to share and there will always be something to delight each person.I cannot speak highly enough of both the kitchen and service staff, all of whom are professional and exacting and never given us cause for complaint. For the more well-travelled diners, you may find that the range of menu items is hardly authentic but as conventional Australianised Chinese food goes, you would have to look hard for anything to complain about.Visit with an open mind, an open heart and an empty stomach, bring some good company and enjoy a night out.
Wasn’t too bad overall, still yet to try the nearby Merriwa Chinese as I thought this would be the better option of the two.Beef satay was good but lacked that peanut butter flavour and mixed veg I am accustomed to.Lemon chicken was pretty much spot on (not too sweet) and I liked the fact it was chicken breast rather than thigh meat.Steamed rice was a bit average as there were brown bits floating around in the container in which it was served. I’d say it was the last serving from the bottom of the rice cooker and would have preferred a fresh batch.Service was a bit slow to start with but were attentive enough once we managed to get their attention to place an order. A cosy little restaurant and potential for a possible repeat.
Seagrove has been my favorite restaurant for over 6 years. The men is fantastic, the hot and spicy ribs are to die for – fantastic menu. I’ve done most of the Chinese restaurants from Joondalup upwards – Seagrove is by far the best :)And really really good takeaway as well
What food. The worst…not com back..
Fantastic Service. Waiters are not all Chinese which means I could understand them clear over the phone. They went through the order over the phone and when I picked it up showing me each item in the bag. Oh and soo yummy
