Love this place. Service can be a little slow when busy but for the view, atmosphere, you can't go wrong. Great live music and a real local atmosphere…

Had a terrible experience with this venue on New Years Eve. Teenagers (13 years and over) from our group had to leave and were ‘locked out’ despite other children of a younger age being allowed to stay. Management offered no apology or reason behind their decision. Not happy and will not be returning.
Have not been to the Boat for ages but what a great experience today. Sitting in the sun and enjoying lunch. The staff are great. Good value large glass of nice red wine for $7. The squid was delicious, so tender. The gnocchi also delicious. The chefs can cook. Looking forward to returning.
We went to The Boat recently, using the Entertainment Book voucher. A very nice venue overlooking the Mindarie Marina. It was very busy, with most outside tables taken, however we got one within about 10 minutes, while we waited inside. We ordered food and drink at the bar. Great kids menu, with $10 meals. My husband had the lamb special which he loved. I had baby snapper. It was a little dry, but the salad was lovely, as was the tartare sauce. Chips were nice too.Nice relaxing pub style venue
This place is good to come for a drink. It’s a nice atmosphere also. The food I ordered wasn’t so great. I ordered the fish and it was over cooked. Also it doesn’t come with chips or anything
Unfortunately the last few times we have been to the boat, the food has not been great and we always go away feeling disappointed. The new decor is good and if your just popping in for a pint after a long day it’s just the place. (Although pricey)
Went down the boat last weekend with my girlfriend and had a lovely lunch. Really lied the atmosphere and the staff were excellent. Highly recommended for a night out and will definitely be going to the upcoming ‘ABBA’ night…..
Ive been coming to the Boat for years and unfortunately it seems to be getting worse and worse and im very unsure of my return.Recently had family over and suggested the boat because of the beautiful weather and the views at sunset are always a winner. Came in for 5 which most may know is happy hour and the drinks are actually reasonably priced. The bar was surrounded and the staff seemed stressed and under the pump, although seemed to be with the same customers for minutes at a time. I later realised this was because the eftpos wasnt working.Funnily enough the same thing happened there a few months ago and i was charged twice when i checked my bank statements (i would recommend checking your own) Staff where friendly considering, and we eventually got our drinks, one thing i did note however was the general lack of interest from an older female manager who walked in the bar had a drink looked at the surrounded bar then walked straight back out… this seemed to annoy almost everyone including the staff. However i sat down and forgot about it.Later we ordered food and waited just under an hour. The food came and the staff seemed to run from our table before we could even comment on the utter slop lay before us. Cold McDonald’s fries and a meagre steak sandwich later i complained and asked for the manager, who through uncaring eyes mearly asked do you want a refund or a new meal..Great hospitality from the apparent assistant venue manager leading by example.
