Both times we’ve been here they’ve charged us incorrectly (overcharged us, naturally) luckily we pay attention. Once ok, but twice? Really? Food a bit meh. So meh I have nothing to say about it really. Not interested in ever going back

I can’t get enthusiastic about this place, I’m sorry.1. Chicken, cheese & asparagus omelette. Overcooked, and soooo dry.2. Breakfast Wrap & Cap. The sausage was polony, or devon, or spam. There was not a true sausage in this.3. Coffees. Incredibly ordinary. No strength to them, and still piping hot even after 15 minutes.None of it was worth the $35+ we paid for the 2 of us.

They served me burnt, stale raisin Toast and the coffee was bitter and milk overheated to the point I had to wait 15 minutes for it to cool down. If your going to charge $5 for a coffee you have to be able to make it. Terrible

I popped into Mulberries after doing a bit of shopping in Morley. Progress St where the cafe is situated has long been a bit of a sad area, without much money being invested in improving the surrounds. Apparently the council is doing something about that and has installed some planter boxes, but it still looked in need of some TLC.Anyhoo – lunch at Mulberries. The cafe, although clean, doesn’t have inspiring decor and the display cabinet inside wasn’t that tempting. Although there were some interesting options like zucchini slice, veggie frittata and bacon and egg pie, nothing looked fresh. I asked about the frittata and was told that it was 2 days old. Nobody wants to eat stale food, so I ordered a chicken, avo and salad sandwich. To be honest, I wasn’t that optimistic and didn’t expect much. I took a seat outside and noticed that there were several groups of people – local workers on their lunch break – dining in.My sandwich was actually really good, and my long mac wasn’t bad either. Let’s say I was pleasantly surprised. The cafe does an all day breakfast so if I was in the area again I could be tempted to return. The service was very friendly and I guess if the cafe is being patronised by locals when there are many options a short walk away at Westfield Galleria, then it must have something going for it. thewomanfromoz.com

Yo VIP. Let’s kick it.Slice is straight up G, pure street and known in all the ‘hoods. But not too often you’ll find your boi out in this neck of the woods. Walking the streets with a saw palm from fending off the chicks, it’s a tiresome burden and 8:30 in the morning so the hunger kicked. After a blessing from the holy fountain of seals and lost like a headless chook. Slice encounters a few Walter whites but needs a different kind of Cook. Slice in trouble 360 no-scopes all the locals that are off with the fairies. It was then that your boi found the unsuspecting cafe mulberries. Like John Travoltas hair in grease, my order was slicked. Then proceeded to excited the counter babe with an order of eggs Benedict. Waiting for my food, some crazy ass locals were definitely turnt, my cappuccino in a mug came out and tasted burnt. Then my food came out before I could reply to the 69 sms on my phone. Intrigued by its presentation, was as bitter as the coffee that the ham wasn’t off the bone. My negative opinions are clear but from now I must halt. It was cheap, fast, tasty, and the freaks on the street aren’t this cafes fault.

Great prices for excellent food. Whatever bread they are using for toast in the morning, is amazing!! My new fav breakfast spot. The vegetarian breaky is a must try. Tasty and good variety on the plate.
