Boring…Nice servers & good atmosphere, but the menu and food need some editing; too many flavours on each plate just ruin the dish (bok Choy with sweet potato and broccolini… why??). The prices were really fair & I did enjoy the scallops with cauliflower pure, they were cooked well. Dont bother with the creme brle, it took 20 minutes to arrive and tasted like custard from a carton warmed up with sugar on top. Cold and lumpy in the middle, hot on the outside & far too sweet… gross!Wouldnt go out of my way to go back here.
We are not one to complain and indeed we ate what was served to us, but after sleeping on it i felt compelled to write a review.we went to this restaurant on saturday and we i had the rump steak with chips and salad, the wife had a prawn cocktail and some chicken wings. sad to say all dishes sucked and were not very good.I asked for medium well steak and it came out WAY OVER cooked, the chips were over cooked and had little taste and the salad which i rate very highly was dull lifeless and boring, little dressing, and did not seem the freshest.the prawn cocktail looked impressive in a plate but the prawns had little taste and tasted more like waterlogged. and to add to that when we got home i had the runs and this morning the wife has them, something was not right with last nights meal.and a side note they normally do .50c hot wings on a saturday and they have taken them away, the excuse they gave was we can’t get chicken wings (YEAH RIGHT) but they had chicken wings to sell in there other more expensive dishes.After last nights experience I will be trying a new restaurant next time, sadly a bad meal can lose you customers, and going by a lot of these reviews there are quite a few unhappy customers
Went on Friday night and ordered the pork belly pizza special but unfortunately the pizza was very soggy and not enjoyable. It’s a shame as this place is only minutes from my house.
Mediocre unfortunately. Medium steak was well well done as was the fish. Possibly an off night? All staff on were rude and inattentive as like they didn’t want to be there.
Rude Bartender. Dunno what his name was. If looks could kill I would have been dead. Relax dude. I’m only buying a beer! I asked if I could have the cheapest pint they has, I’m guessing that’s why he was so rude. SORREE mate. Why do you think I was shopping at the spudshed???? Because I earn like 18 bucks an hour and a cold beer after my shopping is one of the FEW enjoyments I EVER get to have.
Food terrible. Mash potato dried out not at all creamy. Steak no flavour. Like a piece of leather. Used to be really nice here but today dreadfully. Had to wait for ages for food and then disappointed when it arrived.
Went with a scoopon for the seafood Platter for 2 (plus a house wine) but unfortunately it was not cooked fresh. Had clearly been reheated and not even to full temperature so that was a concern. Might have been better if it had been done fresh but not eager to try it a second time.
